A broader purpose.
At the end of 2022, six experienced independent aviation professionals who had previously worked together on aviation projects across Africa decided to bring their expertise together under one organisation. EXPAVIA Aviation Consultants was born.
What began as a specialist aviation consultancy has developed into a broader aviation development and strategic integration platform. Today, EXPAVIA works across Consulting, Project Management, Procurement, Leasing, Training and Ventures — six areas of expertise that can be engaged independently or combined around a shared requirement.
Our team brings together experience spanning aviation strategy, finance, flight operations, engineering and maintenance, aircraft leasing, aviation law, airport and operational management, commercial development, infrastructure and project delivery.
Our work remains grounded in evidence, commercial discipline and specialist professional judgement. Our wider model allows us to stay involved as opportunities progress from early analysis and structuring towards partner engagement, investment readiness and practical delivery.

Olumide Ayoola is an experienced aviation professional whose career spans airline operations, aviation management, infrastructure development and project delivery.
He is a Boeing 777 and 787 Captain with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and serves in a Flight Operations management role with responsibility for the Africa and Middle East regions. His aviation career combines active long-haul flying with management, operational and technical responsibilities within the airline environment.
Before entering the airline industry, Olumide worked in infrastructure project management, including major development programmes in the United Kingdom such as the Jubilee Line Extension.
At EXPAVIA, he leads the company’s strategy and development activities, bringing together operational aviation experience, project-development expertise and an understanding of the commercial opportunities emerging across African aviation.

Her experience includes navigating complex commercial and regulatory environments and helping organisations translate strategic objectives into practical business-development initiatives.
At EXPAVIA, Rasha contributes expertise in aviation strategy, commercial development and regulatory affairs, with a particular focus on positioning projects and businesses for sustainable growth.

He has advised airlines, maintenance, repair and overhaul organisations, international aviation-support businesses and other corporate clients on matters including corporate finance, taxation and regulatory requirements.
His combination of financial, legal and aviation-sector knowledge provides a multidisciplinary perspective on the commercial and regulatory issues affecting aviation businesses and investment decisions.
Dayo also holds a private pilot licence. At EXPAVIA, he provides senior financial and corporate advisory expertise across client assignments, project development and investment-related work.

His project experience includes collaboration with practices including BIG, Chipperfield, KPF, SOM, Make, Daniel Libeskind and Koetter Kim.

Over the past 32 years, Nick has worked on a number of major railway programmes, including the Jubilee Line Extension, Lantau Airport Railway / Airport Express Line (Hong Kong), High Speed 1, West Coast Mainline Upgrade, King’s Cross St Pancras underground station redevelopment, Crossrail, the London Underground track renewals programme, the London Underground sub-surface upgrade programme, High Speed 2 and, most recently, the successful delivery of the Northern Line extension programme to Battersea Power Station.
Working for client, project management, design and contractor organisations, Nick has held senior management positions with accountability for the delivery of significant aspects of each project. Establishing and leading diverse multidisciplinary teams, with extensive stakeholder engagement and collaboration, Nick has built strong working relationships that have contributed to positive project outcomes.
